Front-line workers recently visited with four Christian families in Chiapas, Mexico, who have been rejected by their community because of their faith in Christ. The families were held hostage in their homes and denied the right to leave for food or groceries. Eventually, members of the community drove the families from their homes.

Yvette Oulai’s husband was a Christian pastor before he died seven years ago from an unknown illness. After his death, his Muslim family members took Yvette’s youngest daughter away from her and refuse to allow Yvette contact with her daughter.

Nurettin first heard the gospel when a church planter shared Christ with him in 2007. At the time, Nurettin seemed interested only as a means to emigrate to Europe, but the gospel worker gave Nurettin a Bible and saved his phone number. A few months later, the church planter visited Nurettin’s city again and accidentally called him.

Sahid and his wife, Memona, have six children and live in a small Hindu village in Pakistan. In April 2022, a Hindu religious leader and one of Sahid’s relatives confronted Sahid and Memona about their Christian faith. The religious leader questioned why the couple had not attended Hindu festivals or participated in Hindu prayers.

Aicha Kone is a young Christian woman who is finishing her high school studies. Both of her parents have died, and Aicha decided to move in with her Muslim aunt and uncle so she would not have to live alone.
