On Aug. 31, 2023, a group of Hindu extremists entered Pastor Bhagirati’s church in Nepal, breaking windows and destroying property while shouting anti-Christian slogans. The attack did not stop the church from meeting, however, and last year the children in the church received Christmas Care Packs from VOM. “[The children] are happy, extremely happy,” the pastor said. “This is the first time they have received this kind of gift.” He said that new children at his church will also receive children’s Bibles as a Christmas gift.
