Widow Finds True Refuge in Christ

Peng, a 53-year-old widow and mother of four, sought spiritual refuge from the Christian God. She wanted to protect herself and her children from what she perceived as a curse on their family that had killed her husband and his father. As Peng grew in her understanding of Christ, she committed her life to him in May 2025. Within two weeks, the village chief and other community leaders began to berate her and repeatedly tried to get her to recant her faith in Jesus Christ. Additionally, her mother-in-law has accused her of harming the family by not participating in traditional Buddhist rituals for the dead. Pray for Peng to continue growing in Christ and standing firm in the face of aggressive confrontations about her Christian faith.
