Pastor, Church Staff Detained Without Charges

On July 30, 2025, Pastor Pu Jinshun, Elder Zhu Zhengwu and several co-workers from the Lingshan Church in Chuxiong, Yunnan, were arrested by local police and taken to a detention center. The specific charges have not been made public. In recent years, the church has been unable to use its purchased office building as a meeting place due to governmental pressure. In May 2025, police conducted a raid on one of the church’s small groups and interrogated several members, and arrests of church members began shortly after that. Pray that Pastor Pu Jinshun, Elder Zhu Zhengwu and the other Lingshan Church members will find strength and God’s justice amid this detention for their faith.
