Petition to Free Senior House Church Leader Launched
The Voice of the Martyrs and China Aid Association have launched an international petition drive urging Chinese authorities to free senior house church leader, Pastor Zhang Mingxuan, his wife and a coworker.
Pastor Zhang, affectionately known among Chinese Christians as "Pastor Bike," was arrested along with his wife and coworker August 6, two days before the Olympic Games began in Beijing. Pastor Bike is considered one of the most outspoken evangelists in China. He is a bold believer who has travelled to many places in China, on his bike, handing out literature and Bibles and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.
"The Olympics are over," said Todd Nettleton, Director of Media Development for The Voice of the Martyrs. "We’re calling on people around the world to help us tell the Chinese government that it’s time to let Pastor Bike and his wife return to their home."
